Because of you, my second graders are learning science in a hands-on, meaningful way that truly brings concepts to life. Instead of only reading about forces, motion, and problem-solving, students are now building, testing, and improving their own models. This technology helps students learn by allowing them to explore real-world science concepts through play, collaboration, and critical thinking. They are asking questions, making predictions, testing ideas, and adjusting their designs, just like real scientists and engineers!\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the chance to build and experiment. The moment the LEGO bins come out, the room fills with energy and curiosity. Students love working in teams to solve challenges, and they are especially proud when they figure out how to make something move, balance, or work better after revising their design. The materials are colorful, sturdy, and engaging, which makes learning feel joyful and accessible for every child.\r\n\r\nI have seen several students truly shine with these materials, especially those who may not always feel confident during traditional paper-and-pencil tasks. One student who is often quiet during whole-group discussions has become a leader during build time, explaining ideas and encouraging teammates. Another student who struggles with focus is able to stay engaged for long stretches while designing and improving models. These STEM materials are helping students build not only science knowledge, but also confidence, collaboration skills, and perseverance.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting difference in our classroom. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to explore, create, and discover in ways that inspire a lifelong love of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1763576757134,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-science-brick-by-brick/9555659/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Science, Brick by Brick","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9068734_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1709140476158","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9068734"},{"teacherId":10006303,"projectId":9284556,"letterContent":"On behalf of all of us at Pigeon River in Sheboygan Wisconsin, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of art supplies. The storage bins have already made a huge difference in keeping our materials organized and accessible, making it easier for students to take responsibility for their creative space.\r\nYour thoughtful addition of stickers for encouragement, as well as inspiring art books, has added another layer of excitement and motivation to our lessons.
