After figuring out the crime scene scenerio, my kids will take home a popcorn bucket with popcorn, Nerds gummy rope, popcorn packet, M&Ms and a fun note. These stockings have candy, games, puzzles and other fun items that will make their holiday brighter. Many families are in need this season and my school tries to help as many as we can. The kids will have items for Christmas and that matters a lot to young kids and teens. We have families who don't ask for help, but we have many that do. My family liaison makes sure to get lists and verify the need and then projects like this help us fulfill those needs as best we can. I have holiday projects up and coming for some of those asks that others don't pick up. Since budgets are tight everywhere our teachers and families help take care of those in need, but we are finding we fall a bit short this year. Even if my kids also need help, they are able to give back to others in a way that wont' come them money, but just their time. All in all, every child should be able to give back to others in some way and this project helps them see that.
