The supplies are available for students who may need personal care items throughout the school day, including toiletries and hygiene products. Having these resources readily available allows students to take care of their personal needs without feeling embarrassed or having to miss class. One of the most meaningful moments has been seeing students quietly select the items they need and return to class feeling more comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. These donations remind my students that their well-being matters and that they have a safe and supportive place at school.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, many were surprised and excited that these everyday necessities were being provided for them. Some students immediately recognized how helpful it would be to have access to these items when they needed them. The donations have helped create a stronger sense of community in my classroom because students know that they can receive support while maintaining their privacy and dignity. For teenagers, having access to personal care products can make a significant difference in how they feel about themselves and how confidently they interact with their peers and teachers.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, I will continue keeping the toiletries available to students while incorporating conversations about self-care, responsibility, confidence, and preparing for life after high school into our College Prep and ADL lessons. My goal is to help students understand that taking care of themselves is an important part of being successful in college, the workplace, and everyday life. I am incredibly grateful to the donors who made this possible.
