One special moment was during a long afternoon work period when students were able to take a quick snack break before continuing their reading and math activities. Having snacks available helped students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. It also created a comforting classroom environment where students felt cared for and supported.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snacks arrive, they were incredibly excited and grateful. Many students immediately smiled, cheered, and asked when they could try them. Some students shared that having snacks at school helps them concentrate better because they are not distracted by hunger. It was heartwarming to see how something simple could make such a positive impact on their day.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, the snacks will continue supporting students during small group instruction, testing days, and extended classroom projects. Our class is currently working on collaborative activities that require focus, teamwork, and problem-solving, and having snacks available helps students stay engaged and prepared to participate. The new classroom carpet and floor seating have created a welcoming space where students can gather comfortably for morning meetings, read-alouds, and collaborative lessons. One of my favorite moments was watching students choose spots on the carpet for independent reading—some stretched out with a book, others leaning in close to discuss a story with a classmate. The carpet has quickly become the heart of our classroom, a place where learning feels safe, calm, and joyful.\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless. Smiles, excited whispers, and a few \"Can we sit there now?\" filled the room. The floor seats especially helped students who need flexible seating to stay focused and engaged. The snacks have also made a meaningful difference. Knowing that every student has access to a snack helps them concentrate, participate, and feel cared for throughout the day—no one has to learn while feeling hungry.\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include using this space for small-group instruction, partner work, and class discussions as we continue our current lessons. The comfortable seating allows students to stay engaged longer and work together more effectively. Your kindness has gone beyond providing materials—you've helped create a classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and ready to learn. Our new classroom rug is the happiest place in our room! The children were so excited when they saw it! While this is not the original rug I wanted due to it being sold out, I am so happy with the energy this one brings.\r\n\r\nMy students love the happy faces and know where their space is on the carpet. We use it for morning circle, practicing our skills, and our favorite, playing hit potato for lining up at the end of the day!
