The new 3-ring binders have already transformed the way students manage their music. Instead of crumpled, lost, or mismatched papers, each singer now has a professional binder that helps them stay prepared and confident. During our very first rehearsal with the new materials, students immediately noticed how much easier it was to follow along, annotate their music with the Sharpie highlighters, and take responsibility for their own learning. We even used the new stick-on number markers to help students transition quickly into sight-reading groups—an activity that ran smoother and faster than ever before.\r\n\r\nThe classroom décor items, posters, and frames have added so much personality and inspiration to our space. Students were especially excited about the new solfege and choir posters—they pointed out their favorites, and many commented that the room \"feels like a real choir classroom now.\" The smart lightbulbs have become a surprising hit; we've been using subtle color changes to set the mood for different parts of rehearsal, like warm colors for vocal warm-ups and cool tones for quiet reflection or music literacy practice. These small touches have helped create an environment where students feel comfortable, focused, and proud to learn.\r\n\r\nWe've also already incorporated the new choral resources—Choir Builders and Sing at First Sight Level 2—into our weekly routines. Students are working on strengthening their sight-reading and vocal technique, and it's been so rewarding to see them grow more confident each day. Our next step is to prepare for our upcoming concert cycle, where students will apply their musicianship skills to more challenging repertoire. Thanks to your support, they have the tools, organization, and environment they need to succeed. You have made a meaningful difference in our classroom, and we are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1752586451207,"projectUrl":"project/setting-the-stage-for-song-choir-suppli/9362358/","projectTitle":"Setting the Stage for Song: Choir Supplies for Fall","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sharpe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1530869_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1480191722919","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/khafford"},{"teacherId":3378504,"projectId":9256264,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation toward our CPR project. The technology you helped provide, CPR training equipment, is making a powerful difference in my classroom. This gift of technology bridges the gap between knowledge and real-world action, allowing students to see in real time how their efforts could make an impact.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been the hands-on practice. They love being able to try CPR themselves and instantly see whether they are pressing hard enough or keeping the right rhythm. It makes the learning come alive in a way that a textbook or video never could. Several students who are usually quiet in class have especially warmed to this experience—they've found confidence in mastering the skill and even volunteered to demonstrate for their peers. Watching them discover that they are capable of stepping up in an emergency has been inspiring for everyone.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students are not only learning valuable health and safety knowledge but are also gaining confidence in their ability to make a difference. Your support has given them access to life-saving skills they can carry with them beyond the classroom and into the community.","fullyFundedDate":1746815337323,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-heroes-help-us-save-lives/9256264/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Heroes: Help Us Save Lives","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hastings","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3378504_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x40,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1645212219308","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3378504"},{"teacherId":9827728,"projectId":8922805,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity and making an impact on my students.\r\n\r\nStudents have been utilizing the supplies to help with their regulation and ultimately increasing their focus and time in class.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw all of the new options for calming tools, they were very excited. Students also have voice and choice in the type of tool they choose to use depending on the day and what is bothering them. This is helpful as it is teaching students how to think about what they need in that moment. \r\n\r\nI plan to continue to use these options to teach regulation and help students find what works for them. The materials you provided—pencils, binders, and classroom decor like rugs and lights—have already made a huge impact. My students now have the supplies they need to stay organized and engaged in class, and the cozy atmosphere from the new decor has transformed our room into a welcoming space where they feel comfortable learning and creating music. One of the most exciting moments so far was watching my students set up their binders for choir, taking pride in personalizing them and organizing their sheet music. It may seem like a small thing, but having the right tools makes such a difference in their confidence and readiness to participate.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked in and saw the new items, their faces lit up with excitement! They immediately noticed the added warmth from the rugs and lights, and many commented on how much more inviting the classroom felt. Some even sat right down on the rug before class started, saying it made the space feel more like home. The supplies were equally exciting—several students who had been struggling to keep track of materials were relieved to have their own binders and pencils ready to go.","fullyFundedDate":1730914127535,"projectUrl":"project/brightening-our-choir-room-essential-su/8537572/","projectTitle":"Brightening Our Choir Room: Essential Supplies for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sharpe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1530869_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1480191722919","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/khafford"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_67234","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":572,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":29,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.1,"schoolId":67234,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Patrick Marsh Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Patrick Marsh Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/sun-prairie-area-school-district/patrick-marsh-middle-school/67234"}
