The cleaning wipes are also helping us keep our shared classroom spaces clean and ready for learning.\r\n\r\nMy students were especially excited to see the new supplies arrive! Of course, the treats and stickers were a big hit, but I love being able to use them to celebrate things that really matter—effort, perseverance, kindness, and growth. It may be something small, but seeing a student light up when they are recognized for working hard can make a huge difference. These little moments help build confidence and encourage students to keep trying, even when something is challenging.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these resources during reading, math, and our many hands-on and collaborative activities. My goal is for my students to feel safe taking risks, making mistakes, asking questions, and trying again. They immediately started comparing clues, characters, and historical details—proof of how much these new titles fuel their curiosity and engagement.\r\nThe barometer brings weather lessons to life. Your donation has helped my 24 fifth graders engage with science phenomenon and explore their abilities to investigate and reason. \r\n\r\nWe have enjoyed learning about the world around us through the lens of Earth's four spheres. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to create weathering models, as well as simulate the water cycle in our own classroom to explore if we could \"make it rain\"! The students actually came up with their own investigations to see what causes more and less rain, and we applied our findings to the events of the Dust Bowl to reason whether or not we could prevent a future drought. \r\n\r\nThere are also several upcoming units that we will be using with these supplies.
