It is no secret that our schools are struggling and in need of materials to supplement our learning experiences. Just when we had almost given up hope that we would receive any supplies, we received the great news! Thanks to your donations, we have been able to participate and create more science labs and our Math lessons are far more hands on than before. Our students have seen increases in Math and Science interest and grades as a result of the opportunities we have planned for them using these materials.\r\n My students love to explore math and science concepts, especially in lab settings. One such example is while learning about the physical properties of matter and mixtures and solutions in Science, students were so excited to use the magnetic wands, testing tubes, magnifying lens, just to name a few materials that we were able to secure through the Donors. I allowed them help set up the lab as a way to introduce the new materials. They were so astounded! It was like opening gifts on Christmas morning! We will continue to use these materials to enhance our learning!","fullyFundedDate":1763691430730,"projectUrl":"project/putting-our-hands-on-math-and-science/9428596/","projectTitle":"Putting Our HANDS-ON Math and Science","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fogle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2714332_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1516841248128","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2714332"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_14300","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":827,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":17,"percentBlack":50,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":82.7,"schoolId":14300,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Palmer Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Palmer Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/fort-bend-independent-school-district/palmer-elementary-school/14300"}
