My students were so excited and happy to be able to use their creativity and experiment with all of these new materials.\r\nWe have used the fingerpainting paper to learn about primary and secondary colors. We also did some Still Art of a Fruit Plate when we were learning about eating healthy foods. For Valentines day we experimented with bleeding tissue paper and droppers to create beautiful hearts. We also used the stickers to create patterns and practice counting using a ten frame.\r\nWhen Spring arrives, in about a month, we will be using the oil pastels to paint flowers, butterflies and rainbows! We will move the easels outside for the students to paint what they see growing in our own backyard. The students will also get to use the Kinetic Sand in our sensory table and pretend to be florists by planting flowers in little pots.\r\nAgain, I want to thank you for your kind heart.","fullyFundedDate":1736172951377,"projectUrl":"project/kids-and-art-go-together/8747655/","projectTitle":"Kids and Art Go Together!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Romar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9735304"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54029","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":600,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"26.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.1,"schoolId":54029,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Palm Tree Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Palm Tree Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/palmdale-school-district/palm-tree-elementary-school/54029"}
