They were talking about animals and making predictions as they played in the back corner of the room. Other students are finding peace in playing with a Chinese jump rope on the legs of chairs. I hear laughter as we all try to hopscotch our way into the classroom, myself included. Students are excited and are creating their own rules to play different games in natural, safe settings.
