Our students are learning the names and sounds of letters and just starting to blend them together to create and read words. Hands on activities such as saying, seeing, and writing the letters really help students remember the sounds and the symbols that it matches with. Eventually they are able to sound out the letters to read CVC words then spell it themselves. My kids get so excited that they can now read and make words out of symbols they never knew were actually words! Learning and practicing in the classroom and in the home is essential for students to keep and retain their learning. These materials will definitely help these students get to where they need to be!
