The pink rug has become our gathering space for small-group math discussions, and having a cozy, welcoming corner has helped even my shyest students feel comfortable participating. The butterflies on the wall have sparked conversations about growth, change, and confidence — themes we're exploring in our current goal-setting unit. And the twinkle lights have created a calming, focused atmosphere that makes our classroom feel safe and special.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just add decorations; it helped create a place where my students feel valued, inspired, and eager to learn. Beyond the practicality of this globe, the aesthetics of the warm glow that illuminates from it gives our social studies classroom a home-like feel. \r\n We are also so thankful for the supplies of dry erase markers, pencils, and markers that your generosity supplied to us. These supplies are essential for the learning to happen- especially during this time of the year when pencils seem to get broken or \"eaten\" more frequently than not and students need a new pencil at the start of every class period. My students have enjoyed playing review games and team building activities on white boards due to the supply of dry erase markers. It just makes learning that more fun when they are doing it on a whiteboard. The markers have gone to use multiple times this year- from decorating posters displaying our core values, to color-coding our writing, to creating posters to advertise yearbook sales. We so appreciate them! \r\n Lastly, we are thankful for the Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer bottle. It has helped our classroom stay clean and to keep away as many germs as possible. \r\n These gifts will last us throughout the year and I can not wait to use them as we have more opportunities for creativity and fun and having a clean environment will continue to ensure students are well enough to come to school to enjoy them. Then we do gallery walks or share with the class to see all the great work the students are doing in class. I gave each group one word to draw a model of and explain. They were able to use their boards to collaborate together to prepare their mini lesson for the class. \r\n\r\nWe have used the boards for the walls when we need to get up out of our seats and collaborate that way. Because of your generosity, we now have a beautiful round table, a Keurig for tea, and an assortment of healthy snacks that are transforming our students' daily experience.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the new table arrived, students began gathering around it for small-group discussions, collaborative projects, and peer support. One of our favorite moments so far was watching a group of students huddle together during a writing workshop, sipping warm tea and brainstorming story ideas—something that would have been impossible before without a dedicated, comfortable space.\r\n\r\nThe Keurig and snacks have also been a game changer. Many of our middle schoolers come to class hungry or stressed, and having a warm drink or a quick snack helps them self-regulate, focus, and feel cared for. One student said, \"It feels like we're in a real café—like grownups working together!\" That sense of ownership and belonging has increased their willingness to participate and take risks in their learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I've been able to implement more project-based and partner activities at the new table, while also offering a calm \"reset\" space for students who need it. As we move forward, we'll be using this space for our upcoming group research project on community leaders. Students will collaborate at the table, use the snacks and tea to stay energized, and practice presenting their findings to each other in a supportive environment.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just give us furniture and supplies—it gave our students a sense of respect, comfort, and dignity in their learning space.
