The students in my classroom come from a multitude of different backgrounds and varying life experiences. Being able to provide them with a variety of books they could identify with helps them to become more invested in reading. The books purchased were used to diversify my classroom library. Students used them in their free time to build their interest in books and to increase their reading stamina.
