It is very much appreciated by the students in my special education classes.\r\n When the students were presented with their very own pencil case filled with supplies they were so excited. They thought it was so cool that other people donated money for them to have their own supplies in a colorful pencil case. \r\n Students use the pencil cases daily as they take part in Language Arts and Math class. It makes it convenient for them to have their supplies in one place and they never have to worry about not having pencils, scissors, crayons, or colored pencils in order to successfully complete their assignments. It has been fun seeing my students use their supplies and take pride in keeping them in good condition.\r\n Thank you again for taking the time to donate to this project. Throughout my 20 year career at three schools, introducing the bowling unit during Physical Education (PE) classes has always been a strike! Students of all ages PreK-8th have enjoyed their time engaging in this life-long sport. From students who are not fortunate to partake in bowling opportunities outside of school to those that do more so than not, this experience has brought many smiles, cheers, and most importantly, social engagement and collaboration amongst students. \r\n\r\nWith these additional bowling pins, students will have an equal amount of pins in every lane, making this experience equitable for all.\r\n\r\nThank you donors for your continuous support in helping my students obtain resources necessary for an equitable and enjoyable learning experience!","fullyFundedDate":1739141788831,"projectUrl":"project/let-it-roll/9050692/","projectTitle":"Let it Roll!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Medina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/360887"},{"teacherId":360887,"projectId":8595779,"letterContent":"I want to take this time to thank you for your support in helping my students obtain materials to ensure they are receiving an equitable and memorable learning experience.\r\n\r\nWe have just begun our basketball unit, and students are excited to not only have these smaller basketballs appropriate for their age level, but ecstatic that they have their own ball, minimizing wait time for equipment to be shared! This allows students more engagement time to focus on hand-eye coordination skills like dribbling and shooting.\r\n\r\nEarlier in the year, students utilized both beach balls and balloon soccer balls. Introducing a new game called \"line soccer,\" all students were able to play this game with minimal worry of injury due to the type of ball being used (a balloon ball). Students were able to display their goalie skills, as well as movement skills utilizing the balloon ball. \r\n\r\nThe beach balls were used for our volleyball unit, as we as striking unit. Students were able to work on their volleyball fundamentals such as forearm and set passing with the beach balls. By using the beach balls, the \"sting\" fear factor diminished, allowing students to trust themselves to strike the ball accurately using the correct technique.\r\n\r\nLastly, the first aid kit always comes in handy in any actively engaged classroom setting.\r\n\r\nThank you for your continuous support in our physical education endeavors.
