My students are Diverse Learners, each with their own unique learning needs. Some of the skills that they struggle the most with is building and decoding words and reading and comprehending complex text. Academically, my students are one to two years below grade level and would benefit from resources designed for their abilities. By utilizing varied materials like manipulatives, leveled reading passages and word and sentence building magnets, my students will have greater ability to access grade level material. My students will increase their literacy skills which in turn will increase their self-confidence and their ability to access grade level material along with their general education peers.
