We have incorporated the letter and number tracing boards, handwriting guides, VTech Write and Learn Creative Center, and alphabet sensory materials into our free-choice centers. Students are using them to practice letter and number formation, strengthen their fine-motor skills, and build confidence with early writing. One of my favorite moments has been watching students choose these materials on their own during center time and proudly show me the letters they have learned to form. They are practicing important skills without even realizing how much learning is happening because it feels like play!\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they first saw the materials. They immediately wanted to touch, explore, trace, and figure out how everything worked. The VTech writing center was especially exciting because students could practice again and again while receiving guidance along the way. I also loved seeing students help one another with the tracing boards and celebrate when a friend successfully formed a letter or number.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue strengthening letter recognition, letter-sound connections, proper letter formation, and name writing. As students become more confident, we will begin encouraging them to use their growing knowledge of letters and sounds to attempt writing words and communicate their own ideas. We will also continue practicing number formation as we develop our early math skills.\r\n\r\nThank you for providing hands-on materials that allow my young learners to practice at their own developmental level. They are learning that technology can be used not only for entertainment, but also as a tool for creating, exploring, and learning.\r\n\r\nMy students are especially excited about being able to project an image and then trace and create their own drawings. They love seeing the image appear and realizing that they can recreate it themselves! The Float & Find Alphabet Bubbles have also been a big hit because they turn letter recognition into a playful, hands-on experience. The reading pillow has made our classroom library even more inviting and comfortable, and the foam heart stickers have been wonderful for adding creativity to our art and writing activities.\r\n\r\nIt has been especially exciting to see students who sometimes hesitate with drawing or writing become more interested when they use the projector.
