The sensory garden will help children with sensory needs explore the world of textures. The space will help children work on coordination skills. The garden will give children with emotional and behavioral needs a tranquil space to process emotions and learn self- regulation. The sensory garden will include a sensory walking path for a shoeless tactile experience involving several different textures. Most of the materials will be used in creating this walking path and making it inviting for the students. The space will also include a swing for children to experiment with their balance and learn about controlling their bodies in space.
