The bilingual reading materials have helped many of my students feel more confident and included during literacy instruction. One of my favorite moments was watching students excitedly make connections between English and Spanish vocabulary while reading together with partners. Students who were once hesitant to participate in reading activities are now volunteering to share their thinking and read aloud because they feel supported and successful.\r\n\r\nThe math manipulatives have completely transformed the way my students approach problem solving. Instead of simply memorizing procedures, students are now able to physically build, count, sort, and model math concepts. During small group instruction, I watched students use the manipulatives to explain their thinking to classmates, which sparked deeper conversations and collaboration. Seeing their excitement when they \"figured it out\" through hands-on learning has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nThe classroom furniture has also had a huge impact on our learning environment. The flexible seating and additional workspace have allowed students to collaborate more comfortably during partner work, literacy centers, and small group lessons. Students were so excited when they first saw the new setup — many of them immediately commented on how welcoming and \"grown up\" the classroom felt. It created a renewed sense of pride and excitement about coming to school each day.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using these resources during guided reading groups, literacy centers, and collaborative math activities. We are currently working on building reading comprehension, strengthening vocabulary, and developing problem-solving skills through hands-on exploration and discussion. These materials are helping us create a classroom where every student feels valued, capable, and supported in their learning journey.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and believing in their potential. Your generosity has helped create a more inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1742234554012,"projectUrl":"project/bilingual-reading-and-math-resources/9174433/","projectTitle":"Bilingual Reading and Math Resources!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Diallo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9177518_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x0,y91&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692916457032","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9177518"},{"teacherId":9132461,"projectId":9442467,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for fully funding our project! Having ready-to-use supplies allows my students to focus on learning instead of waiting for materials that the school or families may not always be able to provide.\r\n\r\nBecause of supports like yours, I've seen amazing growth in my classroom. At the beginning of the year, about 80% of my students were considered high-risk in reading. Today, that number has dropped to just 13%. This progress would not be possible without access to consistent, high-quality classroom materials.\r\n\r\nYour support truly impacts my students' confidence, engagement, and success.
