We use the flexible seating every day during reading and math. The flexible seating allows students to move around the classroom freely and work in different areas while still staying focused on their assignments. I have already noticed that students who normally struggle to sit still are more engaged and able to complete their work. When the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was priceless. They were so ready to try everything and understood that these tools were here to help them do their best.\r\n\r\nThe classroom games have also made a big impact on our classroom environment. They promote teamwork, communication, and positive social interactions. The games provide great motivation and encourage my students to complete their assignments in school and at home. Earning game time for doing well on assignments and tests keeps them working hard while also building friendships and a strong classroom community. Your support is truly helping my students stay focused, motivated, and successful each day.","fullyFundedDate":1765322832461,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seats-focused-minds/9927558/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seats, Focused Minds!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. James","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1909262_orig.jpg?crop=862,862,x0,y37&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1648905650393","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1909262"},{"teacherId":2191437,"projectId":9190369,"letterContent":"First off, thank you so much to my donors. Having the correct equipment and having enough of it makes a huge impact on student development. As class sizes are increasing it is so important to have everything you need for the students. During my basketball unit, my students do not have to wait for a turn. This will increase skill development, activity time, and overall health of my students. This also helps to minimize behavior problems. The busier the students are, the more they improve. \r\n My students were so excited to see the new basketballs, especially because of the colors. They had big smiles as they were using the new equipment. Basketball is a big part of my school's community. A lot of my students go on to play recreation basketball, or join the middle and high school teams. So, for my students to have new equipment and enough of it for one of their favorite sports is very important. They were all able to dribble, practice ball handling skills, and be active at the same time. \r\n As a teacher, I can't thank you enough for your support for my project. My students will be able to be more active and engaged during their PE time. This will help improve self- esteem and confidence. I also like the way the colors help me to organize my activities. A lot of times I color coordinate equipment, and these fall right in line with how I run my class. Again, thank you so much for making PE better for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1746653561228,"projectUrl":"project/keep-it-moving/9190369/","projectTitle":"Keep It Moving","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bresnan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2191437"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_5977","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":446,"numTeachers":55,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":90,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"8.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":59.6,"schoolId":5977,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Vista Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Vista Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/florence-school-district-1/north-vista-elementary-school/5977"}
