Imagine a Kindergarten classroom where students learn letter sounds by holding fun miniature objects (Letter Sound Tubs). They work with other students naming the objects and practicing the beginning sound of each object. They are learning the sound each letter makes. This is hands-on learning and cooperative learning at its best! After they conquer letter sounds, they begin to put sounds together to make words. The students now begin to choose magnetic letters to make words and word making games. They quickly begin to realize how many words they now know and are eager to read all the wonderful books in our library. A new world has opened up to them and it all began with fun hands-on literacy activities. Thank you for supporting our students and helping them to bloom as readers.
