They were so excited to \"come to the carpet\" for the very first time! I have a group of students called the \"clean up crew\" who got to use our sweeper for the first time and you would have truly thought it was magic! \r\n\r\nIn addition, we got some sensory shakers to add to my calm down corner. Those have been so helpful in giving students a way to describe their emotions. Sometimes when they're back there and having a rough time, all I need to do is ask them to show me which emotion they are feeling and they use one of the shakers. It was like it was meant for us!\r\n\r\nThe rug has provided the kids a daily routine in which they go to the rug to gather and talk and play and learn! They are able to choose their spot freely but yet have a designated area in which they stay.\r\n\r\nThis was a remarkable gift and our class appreciates the donation so much.
