My students received slime, Play-Doh, magnetic cubes, and fidgets, and they were so excited to see and use their new materials. They have loved having these hands-on resources available to them.\r\n\r\nWe are also going to be using the magnetic cubes as part of a classroom lesson. We will read a story together and then explore warm and cool colors through a hands-on activity using the cubes. This will give students an opportunity to connect what we are learning to something they can physically create and explore. How cool!\r\n\r\nThese resources have also helped me better manage our classroom and support my students with self-regulation. Having something positive for students to work toward has given them an extra incentive to follow directions, make good choices, and practice regulating their behavior. I have already seen how excited they are to earn time with these materials.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue incorporating these resources into our lessons and classroom routines.
