The students really enjoyed all of the non fiction books that were added this year thanks to the generosity of our donors! We were able to explore these books over the last few months and it added so much to the value of our classroom. \r\n\r\nOne of their favorite activities we did was use them to look at text features in small groups. One of our skills we come back to time and time again is understanding text features and how they help us learn about topics on a deeper level. The kids really enjoyed looking at the real life pictures in small groups and exploring these books together.
