These materials have made such a huge impact on my students. My students love relaxing in the swing and also use it for their reward time. One of the items that have made the biggest impact is the weighted stuffed elephant! I have one student in particular who uses it for his #1 safety item. When he's escalated you know when he's ready to calm down when he starts screaming for Elephant. Once you put it on him, the escalation is over and we can start to reset. I never thought a stuffed elephant could make such a huge difference! \r\n\r\nStudents were thrilled to see our new materials. The swing was immediately a class favorite. They are eager to get their work done in the morning so they can be the first to sit in it while on Epic or reading a book. The fidgets have helped immensely as well. Students can use them in our calm corner but can also take them as they transition to class to keep their bodies calm while their hands are busy. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support and for making my job and my students' success a little easier!","fullyFundedDate":1733273825899,"projectUrl":"project/serene-spaces-for-structured-learning-en/8674126/","projectTitle":"Serene Spaces for Structured Learning Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. C.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2993933_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723994426891","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2993933"},{"teacherId":2993933,"projectId":8811370,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping with the gift of recess toys for my small, structured classroom! I was immediately excited to look under the table and see all their little feet kicking the bands and wiggling as they were looking at the board and doing their work. I even have other adults come sit in my room and get an immediate reacion on how great my seating is. \r\n\r\nMy next steps for this project are to transition my modified seats into my students' regular classrooms as they meet their goals and work their ways back into those rooms.
