Students in my classroom are currently lacking in items to read. The books that are there are not books that would make kids want to read. One of the books requested was, If you give a Moose a Muffin. This book goes on about what else he will want. My question is what happens if you give a student a great book? All students should have the opportunity to read and explore far away worlds or famous historical people or places. In providing these books for my students, you will be given them the opportunity to read to discover things they have never been exposed to before.
