Your support has truly elevated the learning experience for my students, and I am grateful for the impact it has already made.\r\n\r\nMany families are familiar with using speakers at home, but the way this technology supports learning in a school setting is different and incredibly valuable. The Bose speaker has allowed us to create a more immersive and engaging classroom environment. Whether we are playing audio clips for lessons, using guided meditation for SEL check-ins, listening to speeches for analysis, or incorporating music into transitions, the clarity and volume of the speaker help every student stay focused and connected.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is how crisp and powerful the sound is. They love that they can hear every detail, even from the back of the room, and it has made whole-group discussions and activities feel more dynamic. Audio-based learning has become one of their favorite parts of the day, and the speaker has helped increase participation especially from students who learn best through listening.\r\n\r\nThere are a few students who have especially warmed to this new resource. One student who struggles with attention shared that the guided breathing exercises we play through the speaker help him recenter before starting his work. Another student, who is passionate about public speaking, asked if she could practice delivering her speech with background audio because it \"makes it feel real.\"\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided us with a high-quality piece of technology but has also supported confidence, engagement, and emotional well-being in ways that are meaningful and lasting.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping our students learn in ways that truly resonate, literally and figuratively. We are deeply appreciative.","fullyFundedDate":1758899260226,"projectUrl":"project/hear-us-loud-and-clear/9725164/","projectTitle":"Hear Us Loud and Clear","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Townsend","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7055651_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724689192511","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7055651"},{"teacherId":7055651,"projectId":9656259,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our ink printer project. This resource has already made a meaningful difference in our classroom, and I'm grateful for the way it has expanded what my students are able to accomplish each day.\r\n\r\nMany of our students regularly use technology at home, but having access to a reliable printer in school has opened up a completely new set of opportunities for their learning. They're now able to print graphic organizers, essays, research articles, visual aids, and project materials right in the moment they need them. This has made our lessons more hands-on and has helped students who learn best with tangible tools or guided supports. It has also made it easier for them to revise, annotate, and take ownership of their work.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the independence the printer gives them. Instead of waiting for shared school resources, they can print drafts, create final copies, and prepare presentations with pride. For many students, seeing their work in print instantly boosts their confidence and motivates them to keep improving.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who often struggles with staying organized, has really warmed to this new resource. Having immediate access to printed planners, checklists, and graphic organizers has helped him stay focused and prepared for class. He now prints his own materials before each lesson and has shared that it makes him feel \"more in control\" of his learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students feel more empowered, more independent, and more capable of producing high-quality work. Thank you for believing in them and for helping create a classroom environment where their ideas can come to life on paper.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758124394690,"projectUrl":"project/inkspiration-station-supporting-student/9656259/","projectTitle":"Inkspiration Station: Supporting Student Growth","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Townsend","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7055651_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724689192511","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7055651"},{"teacherId":9590443,"projectId":9151663,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous snack donations, they've made a bigger impact than you can imagine!\r\n\r\nYour contributions have helped keep our students fueled, focused, and motivated during Study Squad sessions. These devices have provided a vital tool for students to calm down, manage stress, and process their emotions in a healthy way. By integrating technology into mindfulness practices, we have created an accessible and engaging way for students to decompress and develop essential coping skills. \r\n\r\nThrough guided meditation apps, breathing exercises, and other mindfulness activities, students have shown increased focus, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. Your contributions have had a profound impact on our students by providing access to sanitary napkins and other essential period supplies. These resources have created a safe and supportive environment where students no longer have to worry about missing school or feeling unprepared during their menstrual cycle. We've set up a \"Wellness Corner\" in the counselor's office where students can discreetly access these supplies whenever needed, and it has already become a valuable resource for many.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were visibly relieved and grateful. One student shared, \"This makes such a difference—I don't have to stress about forgetting something at home.\" Another remarked how this small but meaningful change helped them feel cared for by the school. These supplies are not only meeting a basic need but are also opening doors for important conversations about menstrual health and self-care.\r\n\r\nWith the stigma around menstruation being actively addressed, we're excited to take the next steps in educating and empowering our students. Upcoming workshops and peer-led discussions will help normalize menstruation and foster a culture of inclusivity and understanding. Your support has removed barriers to learning and allowed our students to feel confident and prepared, and for that, we cannot thank you enough!","fullyFundedDate":1728486750189,"projectUrl":"project/tackling-periods/8757723/","projectTitle":"Tackling Periods","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Townsend","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7055651_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724689192511","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7055651"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_109174","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":363,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":80,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":56.4,"schoolId":109174,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about New Visions CHS Math & Science IV on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"New Visions CHS Math & Science IV","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-state-department-education/new-visions-charter-high-school-for-advanced-math-science-iv/109174"}
