My students are an incredible group of young people who come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique strengths to our school community. Many of them come from low-income households and face barriers that can make school feel overwhelming at times. A number of my students are recent immigrants, working hard to adjust to a new culture and language while still striving to succeed academically. Others are students with disabilities who require additional support to ensure they have equal access to opportunities. Despite these challenges, my students show up with resilience, creativity, and a desire to grow.
