The ability to use DAW or Digital Audio Workstation instruments and to control our microphones from an iPad is key to our ability to teach, and our students ability to learn. Since implementing our iPad, students have been able to practice marimba, and vibraphones easily in other rooms and take it to our first performance last week. We also have a district and state competition for our drama department performing Cinderella where students are learning to control the audio and microphone packs. We recently installed our new lights, brackets, and cables on our stage and were able to help cover some of the dark areas. Choir and Jazz Band students were some of the first to see the lights and were so excited to open the boxes and set everything up.\r\nWe got to have a special lesson on how theatrical lighting works and the steps to maintain and prepare a fixture for rigging. once safely rigged we programed all the lighting into our stage set up so that every scene now has those fixtures included.\r\nIt is still early in our performance season but our Music, Dance, and Drama students are hard at work t work preparing for festivals, concerts, All-County and All-state events. This helps them present their concept and show which fabrics they would use if they were to actually make the costume.
