Because of your kindness, my students now have access to resources that are transforming the way they engage with history. Your contributions have helped create a more interactive, engaging, and meaningful learning experience for every student in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were excited and eager to explore them right away. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded me how powerful it is to provide students with tools that bring learning to life. Several students immediately began asking questions and making connections to topics we had been studying, which sparked rich classroom discussions and deeper curiosity about the past.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting these new resources to great use. During our recent history lessons, students have used them to analyze primary and secondary sources, collaborate on research activities, and investigate historical events from multiple perspectives. One particularly memorable moment occurred during a classroom inquiry activity when students used the materials to examine evidence from a historical event and work together to develop their own conclusions. Their level of engagement and critical thinking was remarkable, and it demonstrated how these resources are helping students become historians in their own right.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using these materials for upcoming projects focused on historical research, document analysis, and presentations. They will be investigating important events, evaluating evidence, and sharing their findings with their classmates. These experiences will help them build essential skills in critical thinking, communication, and civic understanding.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom. More importantly, it has shown my students that there are people beyond our school community who believe in their success and are willing to invest in their education. Thank you for helping us create meaningful learning opportunities and inspiring a love of history in our students.","fullyFundedDate":1773306251049,"projectUrl":"project/history-comes-alive-building-a-complete/10070566/","projectTitle":"History Comes Alive: Building a Complete History Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vasquez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10422502_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769662328920","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msvasquez11"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40618","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":350,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":10,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":36,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":6,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":53.8,"schoolId":40618,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Independence Nontraditional School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Independence Nontraditional School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/prince-william-county-public-schools/new-dominion-alternative-ctr/40618"}
