The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card has also helped me select resources that better meet the different developmental, academic, and language needs of my students.\r\nBecause young children learn best through play and exploration, these materials have helped make learning more meaningful and engaging. I have seen students become more confident, focused, and excited to participate. They are also learning to communicate, share materials, work together, and solve problems. I noticed that having their own comfortable space helped students understand where to sit, stay engaged, and participate with the group.\r\nOur next step is to continue using the seating as we build longer periods of focus and independence throughout the school year. As our lessons become more challenging, students will continue to practice listening, participate in discussions, learn new vocabulary, and share their ideas with classmates. I especially loved hearing my bilingual students use new vocabulary and talk with one another as they explored.\r\nOur next step is to continue incorporating the light table into our literacy, math, and science lessons. Students will use it to build words, practice counting, explore colors and shapes, create patterns, and investigate different materials.
