They immediately wanted to touch, explore, and discover how everything looked under the light. One of our favorite activities was using translucent letters, numbers, and shapes to practice recognition, sorting, counting, and creating patterns. I especially loved hearing my bilingual students use new vocabulary and talk with one another as they explored.\r\nOur next step is to continue incorporating the light table into our literacy, math, and science lessons. Students will use it to build words, practice counting, explore colors and shapes, create patterns, and investigate different materials.
