Through an informative presentation, families gained clarity on what the assessments measure, why they are important, and how they can support their keiki in the days leading up to testing. This helped build confidence not only in students, but also in families as active partners in the learning process.\r\n\r\nThe evening also emphasized social-emotional support and practical strategies for success. Families participated in hands-on activities focused on calming techniques, such as mindful breathing and creating fidgets to support focus. They also created take-home materials with helpful reminders and strategies, making it easier to reinforce positive habits at home. These interactive experiences empowered families with simple, effective tools to reduce test anxiety and promote a calm, prepared mindset.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, families engaged in a practice testing experience and collaborated on creating encouraging posters with positive messages for students. This fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility, showing students that they are supported both at school and at home.
