My 8th grade students have worked for months to create many elements of a book, ending in assembling and illustrating their own personal stories. They are presenting them to our class, as we finish this project, and it has been so fun for them! I so appreciate all of the donors who have contributed materials, and even those who have sent good wishes to us. We received the hardback books, bags, colored pencils, double-sided tape, wite-out, and more. Thanks to your generosity--and to your believing in these students--you have helped them discover more about how they fit in the world through this creative writing project! Sincere thanks for making a difference!","fullyFundedDate":1733166520147,"projectUrl":"project/pages-of-imagination-8th-grade-storyboo/8807762/","projectTitle":"Pages of Imagination: 8th Grade Storybook Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wagner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9405428_orig.jpg?crop=859,859,x0,y146&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701984113031","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-wagner23"},{"teacherId":5303383,"projectId":8616844,"letterContent":"Your donation is greatly appreciated! These copies of the play allowed students to not only read Anne's story, but also to interact with actual stage directions and a script. Many students have not had the opportunity to use a script, and this helped them to understand this new concept of print. \r\nReading \"The Diary of Anne Frank\" allowed students to work on concepts such as character and literary analysis. We explored the historical background of the text, and made connections between Anne's life as a teen in the 1940s and their lives as teens today. Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation of headphones for my classroom. Your thoughtful gift is already making a huge difference for my students, especially those who need read-aloud accommodations.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom is now equipped with the tools to help all students fully engage with their lessons. These headphones will empower them to access content in a way that suits their individual needs, helping them feel more confident and capable in their learning. It's truly amazing how something as simple as a pair of headphones can have such a positive impact!\r\n\r\nYour support is more than just a donation – it's an investment in my students' success, and we couldn't be more grateful. These headphones are already helping them learn, especially with reading and writing. Many of my students use tools like audiobooks, pronunciation guides, and reading games that need them to listen carefully. The headphones help them focus and understand better. For students who learn by listening or need extra help with language, these headphones have been incredible!\r\n\r\nWhat my 7th graders like most about these headphones is how they help them work on their own. The headphones block out noise, so they aren't distracted and can pay attention to their work. Some students have said it's much easier to concentrate because they don't hear classroom noises like pencils tapping, coughing, or the door opening and closing. I have a noise machine in the room, and together with the headphones, it creates a great atmosphere for my students.\r\n\r\nThe headphones also make the classroom feel more equal and friendly. Since everyone has the same headphones, no one feels left out or different. This helps students focus on their learning instead of worrying about what others have.
