Your donation has had a huge positive impact on the students I serve by providing them with materials that can help make their learning play-based AND intentional!\r\n\r\nSome of the materials used on almost a daily basis include the bingo dot markers, which are used for students who are working on articulation skills to count each sound production they make. For every sound made, one dot is made on the paper, which is an interactive, fun way to engage students and obtain a high number of production trials. The playdough/playdough tools are also used often to provide a kinesthetic element to various language goals such as sequencing and prepositions. The hand puppets have been a way to encourage language with young preschool students who might not have spoken without the help of a \"furry friend\". \r\n\r\nPlay-based learning encourages creativity, stimulates cognitive development, and improves a child's ability to problem-solve independently. It was been a joy to watch the student's creativity flourish as they interact with these new materials.
