The games and materials you provided have already made a huge impact on my students. As soon as we unpacked the boxes, their eyes lit up and the room buzzed with excitement. Several students immediately asked, \"Can we play today?\" And of course, we did!\r\n\r\nWe have already been using the new games during small group sessions. For example, while working on language and communication goals, students practiced turn-taking, following directions, and vocabulary development through the interactive board games. One memorable moment happened when a student who is usually hesitant to speak initiated conversation because the game made it feel natural and fun. That moment reminded me why these resources are so important. They open the door to connection, learning, and confidence.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to keep using these materials to support both academic and social growth. In the coming weeks, my students will focus on problem-solving and teamwork, and these games will be a perfect tool to reinforce those skills in an engaging way. I know that because of your gift, my students will continue to grow not only in their communication abilities but also in their confidence and joy for learning.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students opportunities that reach far beyond the classroom walls. Your kindness has truly made a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1742922654915,"projectUrl":"project/create-speech-smiles-for-underprivileged/9193951/","projectTitle":"Create Speech Smiles for Underprivileged Students!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crouch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9351585"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12763","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":27,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":73.7,"schoolId":12763,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mountainview Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mountainview Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/waco-independent-school-district/mountainview-elementary-school/12763"}
