Mrs. Heskett's office now has a cozy, beach-themed atmosphere with a new rug, shelving, and sensory items like a soothing jellyfish light that help students regulate their emotions and feel at ease. In Mrs. Chandler's office, the addition of plant lights, cordless lamps, and macramé wall hangings has made the room feel like a serene, nature-inspired retreat.\r\n\r\nThe most significant impact came from the new group table, which replaced our previous table that was not ideal for young students. This new setup allows us to host small groups more comfortably and engage students in meaningful conversations and activities. These improvements create spaces where students from kindergarten through eighth grade feel safe, valued, and ready to share what is on their minds.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. The children are excited and engaged every time they play in this area.\r\nThe children were very excited when they saw the new washer and dryer. They couldn't wait to start playing with them. Some pretended to wash their dolls' clothes, while others took turns folding and sorting. They were curious, happy, and eager to try something new.\r\nThe next steps are to encourage more role-play ideas, like pretending to run a laundromat or helping with family chores. We will also add baskets, play detergent, and more clothes to extend their play.
