With collaboration being a huge factor in learning, traditional individual student desks limit students' ability to engage with their peers. Removing the classroom desks and replacing them with tables will provide students with a clean and spacious work area for science labs and other projects. From microscope labs to exploring water waves using tuning forks and petri dishes, traditional student desks are not conducive to these activities. Students should have a way to stand or sit while working on a number of labs and projects. Having a classroom with tables will bring the students closer together while ensuring that the most classroom space is available for learning.
