You will see small groups clustered around our reading table, whisper-reading with finger pointers to track every sound, tapping out phonemes, and celebrating those brilliant \"lightbulb moments\" when a tricky word clicks into place. Having a dedicated library of systematic decodables means our early readers spend less time feeling stuck or intimidated, and far more time experiencing the genuine thrill of reading an entire book completely on their own from start to finish.\r\n\r\nThese books have been a total game-changer, especially for our emerging readers and English language learners who previously felt overwhelmed by traditional books with unpredictable vocabulary. With the replacement Chromebook chargers, our digital lab reports and research stations will keep running without interruption, ensuring no student loses momentum during a lesson. We've been sharing chargers because there aren't enough for everyone, so there have been times when some of the Chromebooks have gone dead during a lesson. We've been doing a rotation system, and this will save me time because I have to return to school in the evenings and weekends to move the chargers around, or remember to move the chargers during the times the students are out of the room during their specials.\r\n\r\nThe glue sticks and pegboard cups will transform our physical lab space, keeping interactive science notebooks intact and heavy-use supplies neatly organized and accessible. The students purchase a few glue sticks at the beginning of the year, but it is never enough. This donation will reduce the financial burden for their families. Finally, the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card allows me to bring highly engaging, specialized science curriculum and lab activities directly into the classroom.
