Our new tempera cakes are already making a huge difference in the art room, especially with my kindergarten students. One of the reasons I wanted to try tempera cakes was to make painting less messy and help our classroom move more smoothly during setup and cleanup, which gives students even more time to create and explore. The students were very excited to use the new paints, and they immediately loved how bright and vibrant the colors were. \r\n\r\nWe have already begun using the tempera cakes for painting activities, and I also plan to use them with some of my older elementary students in watercolor-style lessons. One of our upcoming projects involves wetting watercolor paper and placing small dots of color onto the surface so students can watch the paint spread and \"bloom\" across the paper. I know the students will be amazed by the effect, and it will help them see paint as something experimental and expressive. \r\n\r\nThese materials are also helping me expand future lessons on color mixing and painting techniques. Next year, I plan to spend more time teaching students how to mix colors, create light washes, and experiment with transparency and blending. Because of your generosity, my students have access to quality materials that encourage creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning.
