After students are introduced to the more straightforward tools of art such as crayons, pencils, markers, and color pencils, they will move on to painting. Not only will they learn about the primary colors, but they will also mix their own secondary and intermediate colors. The further my students get into their lessons, the more they will rely on their knowledge of color and color-mixing to create more advanced imagery. With the extra paint and paper, my students will be able to do more projects and experiments with color. Since the majority of their projects rely on painting as a medium, it is always beneficial to have A LOT of paint.
