This single book has already made a noticeable impact. Our students have shown genuine excitement and curiosity about its story, characters, and themes. For many of them, having access to a book like this is not simply about reading—it is about seeing themselves, their interests, or their questions reflected in literature.\r\n\r\nThe Alchemist has opened up meaningful discussions, encouraged independent reading, and given students a shared experience to connect over. I have already seen students pass it around, recommend it to one another, and return to certain pages to think more deeply. It is helping them view reading as something enjoyable and personal, rather than only a school requirement.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has directly contributed to creating a classroom where reading feels accessible, relevant, and empowering. While we have social skills class, we often will play a game. It opens up the possibility of getting to know each other while having fun. We get to have real conversations about real problems that they have. This has opened many doors that previously would not have been opened.
