Your generosity has already made a noticeable difference in our classroom.\r\nMany of our students had limited or no access to reliable calculators before, which often made solving multi-step problems or checking their work much more difficult. Now, with these calculators, they are able to focus more on understanding the math concepts rather than getting stuck on the arithmetic. This shift has helped build their confidence and allowed us to spend more class time applying problem-solving strategies and exploring real-world examples.\r\nYour support has not only provided a tool, it has opened up new opportunities for my students to learn, grow, and believe in their abilities. The math posters you helped fund have become an everyday part of our learning environment, and they've had a noticeable impact on how my students engage with math.\r\n\r\nWe've already used the posters in several lessons. For example, during a recent unit, students referred to the posters as a quick reference guide. It sparked conversations and helped students explain their reasoning more clearly. I even saw students pointing to posters to help each other during group work!\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom. These resources have done more than decorate the walls—they've empowered students to feel more confident, curious, and capable in math.","fullyFundedDate":1737569643724,"projectUrl":"project/math-made-visual-empowering-learning-wi/9049199/","projectTitle":"Math Made Visual: Empowering Learning With Engaging Posters","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Just","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8575041"},{"teacherId":787901,"projectId":8737620,"letterContent":"On behalf of myself and my students, thank you so much for your donation to the library. With each passing month, I see more and more ESL students making their way to the library to check out books in their language! They are so excited to see the selection available and that would not be possible without your help. \r\n\r\nMany of the ESL teachers have commented that they are seeing these students become excited about school for the first time! They seem more social as well. It is truly a delight to see their happy faces bringing a book to the circulation desk. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you so much for making this a reality in my library! Over the last six years, our non English speaking population has risen drastically. I struggle, due to my budget, to purchase books that are in Spanish. It is so heartbreaking to know that when these students come to the library, their only option is graphic novels.\r\n\r\nWith your generosity, I now have a great selection of books in Spanish. It is my hope to keep adding to this collection and offering more non-fiction books as well. When I had my first class to visit the library, I showed the students the new section and their faces were priceless! I think they must have picked up each book and looked at it. They were chatting and laughing as they selected a book to check out and read. Since then, those students have made multiple visits to check out more books. \r\n\r\nThank you once again for funding my project.","fullyFundedDate":1728002436492,"projectUrl":"project/we-want-to-read-in-spanish/8763300/","projectTitle":"We Want to Read in Spanish!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wethington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/787901"},{"teacherId":9653696,"projectId":8645980,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supplying my students with headphones they can use to help learn our concepts from math class. Many of my students do not have the resources or capabilities to buy their own headphones and bring them to and from school everyday, so this class set of headphones is extremely beneficial for them and could even be considered a necessity with how impactful they are. Students are able to use these headphones when watching instructional videos online to help explain the standards and concepts we are covering in class. This helps with differentiation and giving students the extra help that they need to be successful in class. \r\nThese headphones are especially helpful for my students who are still learning English and are able to either translate the videos to their own native language and/or use the subtitles so they can better understand the content being taught. These headphones work to tear down those communication barriers with my students built by not sharing a common natural language. My students have really enjoyed using these headphones in math class and it has improved learning tremendously.","fullyFundedDate":1727107871110,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-for-instructional-videos/8645980/","projectTitle":"Headphones for Instructional Videos","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9653696"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_58239","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1900,"numTeachers":128,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":33,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.8,"schoolId":58239,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Marion C Moore School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Marion C Moore School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/jefferson-county-public-schools/moore-traditional-school/58239"}
