My students were able to use the Lego purchased to create their own Bridges in my engineering classroom. They went through the process of learning about the forces that impact a bridge and what goes into the process of designing a bridge that will stay standing.\r\n\r\nAfter they learned about this they were able to put what they learned into practice. Students chose the type of bridge and made it out of Lego. We then tested the Bridges by putting weights on the bridge to see how much they could hold. Our space feels cleaner, fresher, and more comfortable for learning. Students appreciate having a tidy area to work in, especially during small-group time.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these games weekly to build fluency and deepen number sense.
