I have seen a lot of growth since using these manipulatives. \r\n\r\nThe students were beyond excited when they first saw the new materials! They especially loved the counting bears and were eager to touch, sort, and start learning right away. The carpet dots and library cushions made them feel like they had their own special places in the classroom, and they were so proud to use the new resources.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using the manipulatives to build stronger number sense by composing and decomposing numbers, solving word problems, and explaining their thinking using models. We will also introduce more math games using the counters and bears to strengthen math fact fluency through play. In literacy, we will use the cushions and whiteboards to support small-group reading and writing as students continue to grow their confidence and independence.","fullyFundedDate":1757951963367,"projectUrl":"project/help-me-build-my-dream-classroom/9701214/","projectTitle":"Help Me Build My Dream Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sumida","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10065824"},{"teacherId":2910173,"projectId":9772759,"letterContent":"Your generous contribution enabled us to purchase a much-needed supply of 3D printing filament, which has fundamentally transformed our students' learning experience in design and engineering.
