Your generous donation of glue guns, paint, air-dry clay, pipe cleaners, and other hands-on materials has opened up so many new possibilities for our young designers.\r\n\r\nMy students are using these resources to explore design thinking through hands-on challenges where they imagine, build, test, and improve their ideas. Recently, students have been creating prototypes and sculptures using a combination of clay, pipe cleaners, paint, and other materials. They are learning that a first attempt doesn't have to be perfect—in fact, testing an idea, discovering what doesn't work, and trying again is an important part of the design process.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate! Students were eager to dig through the supplies, touch everything, and start brainstorming what they could create. The glue guns and colorful materials especially caught their attention. I loved hearing students say things like, \"Can we use this?\" and \"What if we tried...?\" Their curiosity quickly turned into creative problem-solving.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue developing their current designs by testing their prototypes, identifying challenges, and making thoughtful revisions. They will have opportunities to experiment with different materials and techniques while explaining the choices they make as designers. Your support is helping create a classroom where students can take creative risks, collaborate, and turn ideas into something they can actually see and hold.\r\n\r\n Thank you for giving our students the tools—and the freedom—to create, experiment, and think like designers.
