The dry erase boards, markers, bells, and other literacy resources have become part of our daily lessons as we practice recognizing letters, matching them with their sounds, and building confidence in speaking and reading English.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on my students' faces when they first saw the new materials was unforgettable. Your donations allowed my students to review Soluble and Insoluble solutions by heating water and adding salt to the water. It helped us review how heat increases the rate in which an ingredient can dissolve. We left the beaker with the water salt water mixture over the course of 2 months and each week the students made observations on how the ester slowly evaporated and what was left was salt crystals. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first found out I had created a project for them, they were excited and I don't think they thought it would get fully funded even though my project was televised in the evening news. The materials arrived while I was in maternity leave.
