Many of my students learn best through listening, discussion, and multimedia experiences, and the speaker has allowed every student in the room to clearly hear videos, presentations, read-alouds, podcasts, and student projects without struggling to focus. Before receiving this resource, students sitting farther away often had difficulty hearing important details during lessons. Now, every student can fully participate and stay connected to instruction, which has greatly improved engagement and comprehension.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is how the speaker makes lessons feel more interactive, immersive, and real-world. Whether we are listening to speeches, analyzing music and tone in poetry, watching educational clips, participating in virtual field trips, or hearing guest speakers discuss college and career opportunities, students are much more attentive and enthusiastic. The improved sound quality has transformed simple classroom activities into engaging learning experiences that capture students' attention and encourage deeper discussion.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this resource, particularly English Language Learners, struggling readers, and students who have difficulty focusing during instruction. Being able to hear lessons clearly has improved their confidence and participation in class discussions. Some students who were previously hesitant to engage are now more willing to answer questions, contribute ideas, and remain focused during instruction because they no longer miss important information. This speaker has helped create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student has equal access to instruction. Your generosity has helped bring learning to life for my students and strengthened their readiness for both college and future careers.","fullyFundedDate":1778011127524,"projectUrl":"project/helping-students-hear-their-next-step-to/10073290/","projectTitle":"Helping Students Hear Their Next Step Toward College & Careers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reiher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msreiher"},{"teacherId":9554395,"projectId":10091902,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. Just days before, they had been removed from their home after a traumatic incident involving a caregiver. Everything around them had changed, their home, their routine, their sense of safety.\r\n\r\nIn the past, moments like this would have led to complete shutdown or emotional outbursts. This time, the student reached for a fidget, held it tightly, and focused on the movement in their hands. Slowly, their breathing steadied. After some time, they were able to engage, speak a few words, and begin to process what they were feeling.\r\n\r\nMoments like this are becoming more possible.\r\n\r\nWith the support of generous donors, students now have access to tools that help them manage emotions that often feel overwhelming. The sensory tools and fidgets have become a vital part of this support. In fact, they are almost completely used up because students rely on them daily to cope with challenges such as family instability, changes in home environments, peer difficulties, overwhelming stress, and even thoughts of self-harm. These tools provide immediate, tangible support during some of the most difficult moments in a student's day.\r\n\r\nJournals have also created a safe and private space for students to process complex emotions. For some students, especially those navigating difficult family situations, writing allows them to express thoughts and feelings they are not yet ready to share out loud. This has supported deeper reflection and meaningful progress in counseling.\r\n\r\nIn group sessions, art supplies have been used to help students explore their identities, emotions, and goals for the future. Through creative expression, students are beginning to build confidence, develop hope, and see possibilities beyond their current circumstances.\r\n\r\nWhat is most powerful is the shift in how students are responding. They are beginning to pause instead of react, to use tools instead of shutting down, and to express themselves in healthier ways. They are learning that even in the midst of difficult experiences, they have support and strategies to help them cope.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the goal is to continue expanding these supports through structured social-emotional learning activities, small group interventions, and teaching students how to independently use coping strategies. Replenishing these resources is also a critical next step, as their consistent use highlights just how essential they have become in supporting students' emotional well-being.\r\n\r\nThese tools are more than supports, they are stabilizing forces during times of crisis. With continued support, we can help students move from moments of distress toward regulation, resilience, and healing.","fullyFundedDate":1769191966044,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-emotional-wellness-for-studen/10043926/","projectTitle":"Supporting Emotional Wellness for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Henry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10057672"},{"teacherId":9246706,"projectId":10043867,"letterContent":"My students love the table and wobble stools. These are things many of my students simply don't have access to at home, and knowing they have a reliable place to come when they need support makes a real difference in their day.\r\n\r\nYour donations have also allowed me to do more throughout the school building. I've used contributions to create bulletin boards that add color and enrichment to our hallways, and I've built up a collection of art supplies for students who love to create but don't have materials at home. These small things add up — a student who feels calm, fed, and supported is a student who is ready to learn.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, I'm able to keep my office stocked and continue being a resource for kids who need it most.
