Our school is an older school. Many classrooms are in need of updating, mine included. My chalkboard is old and unusable, making it difficult for students to read the board as I write. As an ELA teacher, I use the board a lot for notes. Currently, I have to write on chart paper on the board just so students can see. Students have great difficulty understanding what I’ve written as the board is cloudy with age. A dry-erase​ surface would allow me to write with markers, making it easy and clear for students to follow along as I write.
