Thank you for all of the wonderful things with which you have supplied us. The books are a wonderful addition to our classroom both for independent browsing and to enhance our emotional learning. We are also loving our sensory emotions for the same reason! Kids are really gravitating to those to help express themselves, but also just enjoying watching the movement that they make within the bottle. \r\n\r\nWe really love hands on activities in my room and the kids have been having the best time with the ice cream scoop and count. They love to tell me that they only want chocolate or only want vanilla. I also think its fabulous that the scooper it comes with is a little tricky to use! It really forces the kids to use their pincher grasp in order to get it open which is fabulous! Finding the letters in the rice is a similar activity that also puts a really fun spin on letter matching. \r\n\r\nI think my absolute favorite though is the hand to mind letter magnets. They come in color coded bags so not only does each student get to pick their own color but it makes clean up so much easier! We really are having the best time with all our new goodies, thank you so much for thinking of us.","fullyFundedDate":1755742158777,"projectUrl":"project/new-finds-for-a-new-year/9523841/","projectTitle":"New Finds for a New Year!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Guidotti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9493628_orig.jpg?crop=534,534,x766,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754015742905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9493628"},{"teacherId":9493628,"projectId":9183832,"letterContent":"The supplies that you provided to my students have been absolutely amazing. I will start with such a simple one, the pocket holders. I have attached a picture so you can see how I use them. Each student has specific log ons to computers at our school, so they all have their own pocket with their information. This allows them to learn more independence instead of relying on myself or a paraprofessional to log them in. It also includes log in information for all the great educational sights that we use for fun fridays in the resource room. Such a small thing but such a great addition!\r\n\r\nThe uppercase lacing beads are an absolute favorite for quite a few of my friends. I already own the lower case ones, but that was more difficult for certain students who weren't as familiar with the letters. These have been a great way to practice spelling our names as well as sight words! I also like using them for letter recognition because when the student gets a letter right, they get to lace it on the necklace which they love. \r\n\r\nThe ice cream scoops have been a big hit with my kindergarten students! They love to roll a dice, find that matching number cone, and then scoop out the corresponding number of ice cream scoops. I also like that it has different colors because sometimes we use it as a color game as well. Similarly the kindergarten students love playing with the muffin tin! That one has the added bonus of using the little tweezer scoopers. It is tough for my friends to do but it is great fine motor practice for them. We also use this one sometimes for couting and sometimes for color practice. \r\n\r\nI truly love having so many fun hands on ways to teach in my room. My students and myself appreciate all of the generousity!","fullyFundedDate":1745846998201,"projectUrl":"project/resource-room-goodies/9183832/","projectTitle":"Resource Room Goodies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Guidotti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9493628_orig.jpg?crop=534,534,x766,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754015742905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9493628"},{"teacherId":9493628,"projectId":8963681,"letterContent":"My students have thoroughly enjoyed all of the new goodies that we received thanks to your generosity! I truly have such a variety of students and thus a variety of needs in my classroom and every little donation makes such a big difference. My students enjoy different things and have different preferences as to how to use them so thank you for providing so much!\r\n\r\nThe kickbands are always fabulous for my more fidgety friends as it gives them some sensory input for their movements without disrupting anyone else's learning. They only last for so long so it was nice to be able to replace some of my older ones that are more worn out. Stickers and dot pain go a long way in my room! We use them for everything from playing bingo to practicing counting, to dabbing letters to spell out words. They are simple tools that can help take a boring activity to a level that provides a bit more engagement so thank you. I could go on and on, we are SO thankful!","fullyFundedDate":1736352839958,"projectUrl":"project/resoure-room-supplies/8963681/","projectTitle":"Resoure Room Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Guidotti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9493628_orig.jpg?crop=534,534,x766,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754015742905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9493628"},{"teacherId":7720259,"projectId":8641719,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping make this project come to fruition. The students and I are extremely grateful for the donations. These resources are providing the students an opportunity to develop their fine motor skills, visual motor skills, life skills, and coping skills. \r\nMany of the children were so excited to explore and play with the materials. Some children have begun to show progress in learning their letter formations, others are developing their eye hand coordination as they build structures, others are beginning to use social emotional skills and identify their own feelings. Above all, the children are learning that they matter, that they too have something to contribute to our world, that there are people who care about them.","fullyFundedDate":1727995331756,"projectUrl":"project/childs-play-ot/8641719/","projectTitle":"Child’s Play OT","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Andrew","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7720259"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43446","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":319,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":51,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"15.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":68.8,"schoolId":43446,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mill Ridge Primary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mill Ridge Primary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/connecticut/danbury-public-schools/mill-ridge-primary-school/43446"}
