The students were absolutely thrilled to work on personalized projects, most notably using the Cricut EasyPress and vinyl to \"iron on\" ___'s Mom onto hand-painted canvas pouches for Mother's Day. Their faces lit up as they created beautiful gifts to take home (and the moms all loved them!). We also used the vinyl to create custom name stickers for personalized visors, which the kids proudly wore during our end-of-the-year water play activity.\r\n\r\nBeyond the creativity, these resources transformed our daily flow and boosted student confidence. The rolling whiteboard became a place where students independently tracked homework assignments and daily tasks; they appreciated being able to refer to the board rather than having to ask for repeated directions. Meanwhile, the chair pockets and colorful mesh pouches made organization the new standard. By keeping their supplies together and easily accessible, the students practiced vital habits that will serve them well as they transition into second grade. Even the thermal printer played a vital role, as students found helpful reminders stuck right onto their homework books, ensuring nothing was misplaced or forgotten during those busy final weeks.","fullyFundedDate":1771698713320,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-the-spark-supplies-for-spirited/10104381/","projectTitle":"Fueling the Spark: Supplies for Spirited Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kanemaru","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2845976"},{"teacherId":9473431,"projectId":9777410,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and helping make these special experiences possible for my first graders. The materials you provided helped strengthen those bonds through collaborative play, teamwork, and shared experiences during our end-of-year celebration.\r\n\r\nThe water activities brought excitement, laughter, and opportunities for students to practice cooperation and problem-solving while celebrating a year of hard work and growth. The meetings can go on for 60-90 minutes, and as we all know, that could be torture for a student to sit there for that long! There's usually only so much a parent (and their child can take), and some resort to their phones to try and quell their child.\r\n\r\nThis opportunity allows us to build task boxes for a variety of students -- based on both age, gender, and interests! We are building 10 different bins, each with its own unique theme. Once we start a meeting, we can take out a couple bins for a student to pick from, and hopefully find some cognitive and sensory activities to entertain them through the meeting. The items in the bins can also be used as \"talking points\" to build discussions and interaction with the students as well with some of the participants in the meeting.\r\n\r\nThere is so much appreciation to build these, which can be used, yes, for entertaining a studnet, but also allow for interaction with team members in the meeting that will give us more data about the student! Your donation of dry erase boards, chair pockets, and dividers has made a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThroughout the school year, these resources helped my first graders stay organized, focused, and actively engaged in their learning. The chair pockets gave students a designated place to store their materials, helping them develop responsibility and organizational skills. The dividers created individual workspaces that supported concentration and helped minimize distractions during independent work.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment occurred during our math lessons when students used their dry erase boards to solve problems and show their work.
