Each morning, we use the yoga ball as part of our greeting routine. Every child gets a turn to bounce and say or wave hello to their friends. It helps them stay engaged and regulated, and I've already seen more of my students participating during group time. The sensory swing has also been an amazing addition to our classroom. Students are learning how to ask for sensory breaks in an appropriate way, and it has made it much easier for them to self-regulate and promote smoother transitions.\r\n\r\nStorytime has come to life with our magnetic easel and felt story pieces. Students are eager to come up and move pieces and sing along to interactive songs like \"Five Little Monkeys,\" which supports their communication and language development. They were excited when we received our materials. We will continue creating lessons that are interactive and full of sensory experiences to keep all of the students engaged and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1767030133744,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-circle-time/9781675/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Circle Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bri","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10296076"},{"teacherId":4978884,"projectId":9213351,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my project, Sensory Supports for Focus & Success in Speech! Many young children often have accidents or spills during the school day, whether from bathroom emergencies, food mishaps, or playground activities. Having a supply of clean clothing in the nurse's office allows these students to change quickly and return to class without embarrassment or discomfort. This helps preserve their dignity and reduces anxiety, which is especially important for children in this age group who are still developing self-esteem and social confidence.\r\nThe availability of clothing in the nurse's office also minimizes classroom disruption. Without spare clothes on hand, students might otherwise need to wait for a family member to bring in a change of clothes or even be sent home, resulting in lost learning time. By providing immediate solutions, the school supports students' continued participation in the school day, reinforcing a sense of normalcy and care. This is particularly helpful for families who may not have the means to send extra clothing or who are unable to leave work during the day.","fullyFundedDate":1745536258242,"projectUrl":"project/-comfort-and-care-closet-helping-stud/9190149/","projectTitle":"\" Comfort and Care Closet : Helping Students in Need\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gina , School Nurse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9472085_orig.jpg?crop=228,228,x0,y87&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742477305797","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9472085"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_81660","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":235,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":44,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":49,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 1","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":82.7,"schoolId":81660,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Meadowbrook Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Meadowbrook Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/eatontown-public-school-district/meadowbrook-elementary-school/81660"}
