The props you funded have become more than classroom tools. They are bridges that connect my students to the texts in memorable and hands-on ways.\r\n\r\nWhen we studied classic plays, students did not just read the lines. They stepped into character with the help of masks, crowns, cloaks, torches, and even quills. A scene that once felt distant suddenly became vibrant and real. For many students, holding a prop gave them the confidence to project their voices and take risks in front of their peers.\r\n\r\nI have seen quieter students light up when they get to bring a character to life. One student told me, \"I actually understood the story more when I could act it out.\" That is exactly the kind of connection I hoped this project would create. Literature does not sit silently on a page. It now lives, moves, and speaks in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and in the power of stories. Your gift has given them a chance to see themselves not just as readers but as performers, thinkers, and creators.","fullyFundedDate":1746462900015,"projectUrl":"project/living-literature-a-multicultural-libra/9286891/","projectTitle":"Living Literature: a Multicultural Library and Performance Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Learman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3580303_orig.png?crop=136,136,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745956227686","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-learman"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_19900","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1835,"numTeachers":107,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":67,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":78.9,"schoolId":19900,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about McCutcheon High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"McCutcheon High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/tippecanoe-school-corporation/mccutcheon-high-school/19900"}
