I teach at two public, elementary schools which can be described as a high-poverty, high-mobility, K-4 urban schools. Many of my students live in impoverished neighborhoods and have very little at home. Over 80% of my students receive free/reduced lunch. Despite all of the negatives in their home lives, my students are still excited to come to school each day and learn!
